Dear God, You are the Designer and Creator of this world. You have placed us here for a purpose. So, we ask you to help us to fulfill it. You placed us on this planet that slowly revolves around the sun, producing different seasons. This earth also spins around, creating days and nights. And each day there are 8 billion of us walking and running around trying to do something – trying to go somewhere. Sometimes we run into each other and hurt one another. Most of us are just trying to keep our balance. We are trying to walk peacefully and productively with other people. But some people are deliberately trying to run into others or trip them up.
So, Lord, we need your help. Please guide us by your Holy Spirit to walk in the way that You want us to. Give us clear vision to see what’s around us, and insight into the things that aren’t visible. Almighty God, give us strength to overcome every obstacle that is placed before us, and endurance to keep going when things get tough. God of Peace, help us to find those with a kindred spirit that we can walk with. Give us compassion for those who find it too difficult to walk because they are suffering physically, mentally, emotionally or financially. And God of Justice, give us the courage to defend those who are oppressed by people who are determined to cripple them. In Jesus name. Amen.
